Today’s episode of Athletes Authority ON AIR is episode 49 with co-hosts Lachlan Wilmot and Jordi Taylor.
Today’s guest is Taylor Nelson-Cook, a Senior Performance Coach at APEC in Fort Worth, Texas. With over a decade in playing soccer at the high school and collegiate level, Taylor progressed into the private sector working with a diverse range of clients including youth, high school, collegiate and professional athletes. Taylor shares some great insights into his role within APEC and more specifically their well known NFL Combine Prep.
In this episode, Taylor takes us through his journey of becoming a performance coach - from interning at APEC to starting full time, why and how the facility sets itself apart from others with the caliber of athletes that come through the doors, how he started by “filling in the gaps”, NFL Combine prep, advice for coaches looking to run niche programs such as Combine prep and a whole lot more.
This episode has plenty of incredible insights for aspiring to veteran coaches, to younger coaches wanting an in depth insight into the private high performance space.
Enjoy, and let us know what you think!
