The Wellington Phoenix women have qualified for the A-League playoffs for the first time and will host a home playoff in May as part of a two-leg semifinal. 

Their top two placing was confirmed after a 2-nil win against Adelaide United in their final regular season game. 

Adam Cooper spoke to Phoenix coach Bev Priestman.

With a 13th championship and record crowds, the Wellington Saints celebrated an extremely successful 2025 NBL campaign on and off the court. 

The team's title defence begins with a home game at TSB Arena on Sunday April 12th, hosting Manawatu. 

To preview the season, Adam was joined by head coach Aaron Young and CEO Jordan Mills.

New Zealand levelled the series on Wednesday, courtesy of an incredible unbeaten 179 from captain Melie Kerr, to chase down a record target of 347.
