It is now just over 100 days since the formation of the Government of National Unity popularly known as the GNU, and research organisation, the Social Research Foundation (SRF) has found that nearly 60% of South Africans believe the initiative will succeed.  The formation of the GNU was received positively by many, including investors and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) All Share Index has climbed by more than 10% over the past three months, soaring to new record highs. On the other hand, the Rand has also risen by nearly 6% to the dollar over the last 100 days. Lulu Gaboo spoke with political analyst Dr Levy Ndou to assess the 100-plus days of the GNU.
