The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has warned of consequences following an attack by Iran, where it fired about 200 missiles at Tel Viv.
Iran's mission to the United Nations, says the attack was a legitimate response to terrorist acts.
This is the second attack by Iran this year after it fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel in April.
The United Nations Security Council is set to convene in an emergency session on the escalating tensions in the Middle East.
