The launch of a new study on the Governance of Online Harmful Content and Freedom of Expression in South Africa is underway in Johannesburg. The study, launched by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), examines the spread of hate speech and disinformation online and how these challenges can be addressed while protecting freedom of expression.
