Uganda has closed its border with neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for four weeks in an effort to curb the spread of Ebola. The closure takes immediate effect, with exemptions for Ebola response teams, humanitarian and security operations, as well as food and cargo transport. Uganda's Health Ministry has also suspended high-risk public activities, including music concerts, entertainment shows, cultural festivals and other recreational gatherings. The country has so far recorded seven Ebola cases and one death linked to the outbreak, whose epicentre is in Congo's Ituri province. Lulu Gaboo spoke to Alan Kasujja, Head of Uganda's Government Communications.
