Travellers volumes expected to increase across various points of entry

South Africa's Border Management Authority (BMA) says it expects to process more than 25,000 travellers daily over the Easter weekend. In the first four days of Operation Easter 2026, at least 71,803 travellers have already crossed Mozambique's borders, with peak volumes still anticipated later in the day. The BMA adds that the Easter long weekend is the second-busiest travel period of the year.
