South Africa's Chief Director for Global Governance and Continental Agenda at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) Ambassador Dave Malcomson wants to strengthen halal food certification and expand broader halal sector cooperation with Pakistan as both countries work to deepen trade and investment ties. Malcomson was speaking during a dIplomacy dialogue hosted by DIRCO in collaboration with the Pakistan High Commission in South Africa in Johannesburg. 12.5 tones of medical supplies to fight Ebola are set to arrive in the Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, but limited testing capacity was slowing the response to the outbreak.
