The Zambian government has cancelled passports of six prominent figures including Ambassador Emmanuel, who is the former Ambassador to Ethiopia and South Africa. The list also includes former members of Parliament Binwell Mpundu and Jay Banda. The former presidential aid Peter Kaizer Zulu is also a persona non grata to Zambia. Historian Sishuwa Sishuwa and Social media vlogger Lilian Mutambo are not welcomed in Zambia. The directive published on Friday, follows tense political situation in Zambia after the August general elections. Amnesty International says the government in Zambia is using administrative powers to silence critics.
