The fight against Ebola in the Democratic Republic of the Congo is increasingly being won or lost at the community level. As health authorities work to contain the latest outbreak, officials say building trust, combating misinformation and encouraging people to seek treatment early are proving just as important as medical interventions. The World Health Organisation says response teams are working closely with local communities, traditional leaders, youth groups and healthcare workers to ensure that lifesaving information reaches those most at risk. She spoke to Cristina Silveiro.
