The chief of Uganda's military, Muhoozi Kainerugaba - who's also the son of Presiden Yoweri Museveni - has ordered the closure of two of the country's biggest media outlets. The Daily Monitor, which is the country's largest independent daily newspaper, and NTV Uganda, one of the largest private broadcasters, were being shut down. No reasons where given on the decision to close the media houses. The Democratic Republic of Congo has filed a case against Rwanda at the International Court of Justice, on the long-running conflict in the eastern DRC. Kinshasa accuses Kigali of backing the M23 rebel movement operating in the large parts of the eastern DRC region. The DRC is calling on the United Nations court to order Rwanda to cease the alleged violations.
