The Democratic Republic of Congo has filed a case against Rwanda at the International Court of Justice, on the long-running conflict in the eastern DRC. Kinshasa accuses Kigali of backing the M23 rebel movement operating in the large parts of the eastern DRC region. The DRC is calling on the United Nations court to order Rwanda to cease the alleged violations. Thousands of migrants are fleeing South Africa amid a wave of xenophobic violence and ahead of  tomorrow's (Tuesday) planned anti-immigrant protests. The situation has sparked an urgent humanitarian crisis, with multiple African nations scrambling to orchestrate mass emergency repatriations of their citizens.  The South Africa government has warned against violence during the protests and promised an increased number of police deployment across the country.  This morning we cross to our reporters monitoring the situation in various areas in South Africa. South Africa boosts security as anti-illegal immigrant protests spark fear and migrant exodus

The chief of Uganda's military, Muhoozi Kainerugaba - who's also the son of Presiden Yoweri Museveni - has ordered the closure of two of the country's biggest media outlets. The Daily Monitor, which is the country's largest independent daily newspaper, and NTV Uganda, one of the largest private broadcasters, were being shut down. No reasons where given on the decision to close the media houses. In a statement by General Kainerugaba  on the X platform - he said all media houses in the country should follow the rules and that  ALL bad stories about Uganda have to be cleared by his office.Tsepiso Makwetla spoke to Jude Byamukama, Constitutional Lawyer in Uganda
