Prominent Tanzanian human rights activist, lawyer and Chairperson of Chadema- the country's main opposition party, Tundu Lissu, entered his final submission and closing arguments in his treason court case yesterday (Wednesday). He told the judges hearing his case that the judgement would not only concern him, but will set a historic legal precedent.  Addressing the court, Lissu urged the three judges on his case that they should act with courage, without bias, and in accordance with their oaths. He submitted that the state case against him was political. He is facing a treason charge and if found guilty, he could serve a life sentence in jail. Lissu is also charged with a publishing false information.  To discuss this further, we are joined by his Chief Legal counsel Dr Rugemeleza Nshara
