The East African Community has taken major steps to ease migration, but not all member states are keeping pace.
This is according to a new study authored by Alan Hirsch from the New South Institute, which highlights that while countries like Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda, have embraced the Common Market Protocol, others are falling behind.
The report, titled "Opening Borders for Migration in the East African Community: Progressive Yet Uneven Reform", praises the region's progress since 2010 but warns that enforcement challenges and uneven commitment could slow full integration.
