South Sudan's National Elections Commission has strengthened preparations for the country's planned December 2026 elections with the acquisition of a permanent headquarters and additional funding for voter education. The electoral body says it has purchased the former AIDA International Hotel building in Juba, which will serve as its new headquarters, while an additional six million US dollars has been allocated for voter civic education.
