South Africa's home affairs minister Dr. Leon Shrieber says that he is pleased with the achievements made by the Border Management Authority (BMA) since its inception over a year ago.
Shrieber was speaking on during the opening of the inaugural Border Management Conference and Expo held on Tuesday at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa's capital of Pretoria in the Gauteng region.
Throughout the day, industry experts discussed critical role of border management in protecting national security, including the challenges posed by terrorism, trafficking, and organized crime.
