Hundreds of people in South Africa's township of Soweto took to the streets in a peaceful demonstration against illegal immigration, voicing concerns over its impact on local communities, jobs and resources amongst others. The protests are linked to the nationwide march and march movement and served as a buildup for the 30th of June deadline for undocumented foreign nationals to leave the country. Channel Africa's Nhlanhla Mahlangu was in Soweto and filed this report.
