The summit held in Johannesburg South Africa focused on Africa's climate financing plan and where the money would come from. Tsepiso Makwetla spoke to one of the panelist's Tebogo Maake  senior manager for sustainability and ESG at Nedbank.

Africa Matters Summit Sparks Debate on Climate Financing and Africa’s Green Future

Botswana has officially struck down sections of its law that criminalised same-sex relations. The decision follows a landmark 2019 High Court ruling that declared the law to be illegitimate. Botswana joins several African countries that are amending their laws in efforts to root out discrimination, inequality and human rights violation. Africa's legal landscape remains deeply polarized as strict anti-homosexuality laws still exist and are being enforced in some countries. To help us shed light on the topic, Peter Ndoro spoke to Tshepo Madlingozi, the South African Human Rights Commissioner.
