Zimbabweans have expressed concern over what could turn out to be another wasted academic year after teachers downed tools on Tuesday. This announcement comes after the Apex, a salary negotiation body on behalf of all civil servants stormed out of a negotiation meeting with the government last week. Government unilaterally awarded a 25 percent wage increase when workers were demanding to have their current salaries matched with the US dollar amount, they earned in 2018.
