South Africa's (SA) Chief Justice Mandisa Maya, says women in leadership positions play a critical role in creating an enabling environment for women because they've been in the trenches. Maya was part of a panel of women judges from across various parts of the continent sharing their experiences in the top leadership positions in the judiciary.
The southern African nation has been hosting the second High-level Meeting of Women Judicial Leaders of Africa, in conjunction with the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of Africa in Sandton, north of Johannesburg. The three day meeting ended on Thursday.
