South Africa's (SA) Deputy Justice Minister Andries Nel visited the Virtual Priority Court for immigration cases at the Durban Magistrates Court, an initiative aimed at fast-tracking immigration-related matters and strengthening law enforcement.
The specialised court forms part of government's broader plan, announced in the State of the Nation Address and approved by Cabinet, to improve the handling of immigration cases and ensure that all individuals entering SA do so legally.
Mpho Sithole spoke to Deputy Minister Nel to discuss this further.
