Nigeria has been shaken by the sudden resignation of Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, who has stepped down with immediate effect for what he says are health reasons. The announcement from the president's office comes at a time when the country is facing some of its most serious security challenges in years.
According to the UN Human Rights Office, at least 402 people most of which are schoolchildren, have been kidnapped since mid-November.
To talk about the implications of this resignation Tsepiso Makwetla was joined by Isa Sanusi, country director of Amnesty International, Nigeria.
