In South Africa, five suspects including prominent SAFM radio broadcaster Nonkululeko Mantula, appeared in court on Tuesday after being arrested at OR Tambo International Airport at the weekend. Authorities say the group was moments away from boarding a flight to Russia, allegedly to work as mercenaries in the ongoing conflict. They're now facing serious charges under the Foreign Military Assistance Act, accused of recruiting and luring South Africans into foreign combat. State prosecutor Pieter Erasmus says all five will remain behind bars until their formal bail hearing.
Tsepiso Makwetla was joined by by Security Expert Andy Mashaile who is also a former Interpol Ambassador.
