As South Africa marks 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children until December tenth, Gender Based Violence - GBV, is not only a criminal crisis but a moral and spiritual one. 80 percent of South Africans identifying with a faith, religious spaces are uniquely placed to shift harmful norms, advocate for survivors, and rebuild community accountability.
We Will Speak Out South Africa and the Faith Action to End GBV Collective, aim to break silence within faith communities and centre survivor voices through its advocacy work.
