Amanda Baker is an Ottawa-based home chef and the founder of consulting firm Baked Good Impact. The lifelong cook and foodie was recently drawn back into the culinary world during an appearance on MasterChef Canada. Season 9, for those curious, is now underway. Sadly, the appearance was short-lived, as Baker was one of 4 contestants eliminated in Episode 1. Even still, she described the overall experience as a positive one. Amanda spoke to Simply Ottawa about her love of food, the pressure of reality TV, and Ottawa’s food scene.
