As we discussed earlier in the program, brand-new changes to family law are on the way in British Columbia. More specifically, they want to make pet custody battles easier to navigate. Here in Ontario, pets such as cats and dogs are viewed as property, making it challenging to decipher the best owner when a couple separates. Should the Ford government adopt the B.C. model, or something similar to it? Kristy Cameron tackles today’s Question of the Day. Meantime, a new report from the Bank of Canada says that two-thirds of consumers are tightening their belts. Some experts fear that these money-saving decisions could lead to rate cuts in the First Half of 2024.
