Turning our attention to local news, more than 60 percent of drivers have been speeding through Ottawa school zones this Summer – 9 months after the province’s ban on photo radar cameras kicked in. New data from the City of Ottawa shows that average speeds, compared to 2025, are as much as 13 kilometres-per-hour faster at eight former speed enforcement locations.
