66-year-old Andrew Murie has been the face of MADD Canada for decades, becoming a major trailblazer in the ‘Don’t Drive Impaired’ movement. Sadly, he passed away on March 8 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, a few weeks before the start of a pivotal time of action for the organization. On the eve of National Impaired Driving Prevention Week, a few of Andy’s closest colleagues remember his kindness and the powerful legacy he left behind for Canadians. Tamara Cherry is joined by former MADD Canada Legal Director Robert Solomon and MADD Toronto’s Carolyn Swinson.
