Following last Summer’s inquiry into the deaths of three women, advocates aren’t happy with the initial response from the Ford government. The province has been requested to act on a series of crucial recommendations that are meant to fight against Intimate Partner Violence, but little has been achieved over the past six months as Ontario asks for more time. It continues to cause a degree of frustration for local lawyer and women’s advocate Pamela Cross, who adds that Lanark County has already placed the ‘epidemic card’ on IPV cases.
