In his annual report, Ontario's top doctor recommended that the province adopt a 'comprehensive alcohol strategy', designed to reduce alcohol-related harms. Part of Dr. Kieran Moore's strategy includes monitoring the health impacts of the minimum legal drinking age, and if raising it would benefit Ontario residents. However, at this point in time, Ontario Premier Doug Ford is not in favour of raising the minimum age requirements.
