Defence expert Michael Shoebridge warned that, despite government assurances, Australia’s fuel security faces a major disruption within a month as targeted strikes on Middle Eastern oil infrastructure send prices soaring.

He argued that "killing your way to victory" is failing in the region, leaving an island nation like Australia dangerously vulnerable at the end of a breaking supply chain.
