Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the rebirth of a franchise. And this time, there was a woman at the center of it all, wielding a lightsaber and crafting a new narrative for the future. Jen Markham saw Rey Skywalker on screen, and wanted to be her for Halloween. The ensuing google helped her find forums and a community, and started a passion that would become a career: cosplay.

Jen now has millions of subscribers that tune in for her film breakdowns, cosplay creations, and sketches that she creates. We talk about how she blends sports with her fandom, including Buffalo Bills breakdowns with Grogu, what it meant to see representation on screen even as an adult, and how much one movie can change your life.
