Interview With The Vampire by Anne Rice is one of the most iconic pieces of vampire media, and it's made it to the screen more than once. Amy first encountered Louis and Lestat at a young age through the 1994 film, starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. The movie slipped through the cracks of her Mormon household, and opened up a new vehicle for questions she was starting to have. 

As she watched Louis struggle with the morality of being a vampire, Amy was struggling with her own queer identity, and what that meant to her religious upbringing. We talk through how the story helped her parse through immortality, morality, and how to start to form her own beliefs and identity by accepting herself -- the same way Lestat begs Louis to accept his vampirism.
