The latest WSJM Sports Player of the Week is Ava Rommel of St. Joseph girls basketball.

Ava is a senior at St. Joseph high school where she has a 3.9 GPA

During the week, St. Joe went 2-0 with a 48-28 win at Gull Lake, where St. Joe shutout the Blue Devils 18-0 in the first quarter. Ava had a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and added 1 assist and 2 steals. Then in a 57-19 win over Mattawan, Ava had 13 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block

Ava is a scholastic award winner at St. Joe, a member of the National Honor society and is also a member of the St. Joseph girls soccer team.
