• NHL Awards announced, Colorado's Nate McKinnon is the MVP, as voted on by the Media (Hart Trophy), and players (Ted Lindsay Award), Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard wins Rookie of the Year (Calder Trophy), Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck wins top Goalie (Vezina Trophy), former Michigan Wolverine and Vancouver's Quinn Hughes is top defenseman (Norris Trophy)
