As KimberlyPerry prepares to release her first set of solo songs with her BLOOM EP on June 9, she’s also counting down the days until she becomes a first-time Mom.

She recently sat down with Kiss Country 99.9’s TC & Dina B to share some details surrounding the bundle of joy she and husband, Johnny Costello, are expecting including the name, due date and personality traits they’re hoping for.

“Apparently, I accidentally revealed the gender last week during an interview,” she laughed. “We are having a little boy the last week of August. We’re so excited. His name is going to be Whittaker James Costello.”

She continued, “His Dad is 6’5”, bleach blonde and he plays — I met him when he was in a Country Punk Rock band down in Austin, so we’re hoping the genetics of baby boy are going to be a free-spirited, whimsical little music baby. That’s what we’re hoping for.”

Regardless of who baby Whittaker becomes, Perry says he’s already given her the greatest gift by gifting her the title of Mom which has added to the positivity in her current season of life.

“I feel more at home in my own skin more than ever before and I’ve thought a lot about why that is,” she shared. “I think it’s a lot about adding commas to my life situation. My life went from being a daughter and a sister [to] I’m also a mother and a wife now. I’m found so much empowerment in that and ownership. It’s a really positive season for me and I’m just thrilled to be home and back in all the things.”

KennyChesney has been captivating crowds for years with his big time stadium shows, but what does he have to say about taking one of the biggest stadium gigs in the biz?

Ahead of his headlining performance at Tortuga Music Festival, Kenny Chesney sat down with Kiss Country 99.9’s TC & Dina B. and discussed the pros and cons of playing the Super Bowl halftime show, if asked.

“I’m not saying I wouldn’t ever do it,” Kenny said expressing some hesitation. “If I was asked, it would be a hard decision.”

As a sports fan, Chesney definitely recognizes what an honor it would be, but his chill island vibes have him leaning towards the less stressful option.

“I know career-wise it might be great, but I don’t know,” he questioned. “If I’ve got the choice to have all that stress leading up to it, or sit in the suite with my Dad and have a beer and watch the game, I’m probably going to do that.”

He continued on to share he sees the big gig as a “kiss of death” since it seems impossible to please the crowd, no matter how amazing the performance. “I feel like, especially now, with all this social media-driven stuff, I feel like -- I’m not saying if I was asked to do the Super Bowl that I would say no — I would probably say yes, but, I still feel like it’s the kiss of death.“

He reflected, “Springsteen did it, and did great! But they slammed him,” he reminisced. “I mean, they slam everybody. I don’t know if I’d rather just sit in a suite and do beers and watch the game.”
