The  La Crosse Symphony youth competition or  Richard Record Rising Stars Concerto Competition is the LSO’s annual high‑level contest for young musicians. It’s the LSO’s signature youth event — separate and it’s one of the most competitive concerto competitions in the region. Janet Roth is a local musician who has made the competition her avocation.  Ms. Roth spoke on LaCrosseTalk about the classical competition.

Dr. Vincent Ma is a medical oncologist at UW-Health Carbone Cancer Center.  He is also an associate professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Ma spoke to W-I-Z-M LaCrosseTalk host Sean Dwyer about a new cancer vaccine.
