A Republican challenger for the 96th Assembly.
Jim Green spoke about his candidacy on La Crosse Talk with Sean Dwyer on Tuesday morning.
Green said he grew up on a dairy farm outside Westby, raised a family, and has run a small business for the past 37 years.
He explained why he decided to run for office. He said he wants to bring common sense conservatism back to the area.
The 96th Assembly seat is currently held by Democratic Representative Tara Johnson.
If needed, primaries for either party are in August, with the general election set for November.
