Tonight I talk with star of stage, screen and TV, John Waters. You might know him from TV’s Play School, All The Rivers Run or All Saints. You might know John Waters from the theatre productions of Hair, Godspell or Jesus Christ Superstar. Perhaps it’s movies such as Breaker Morant or Attack Force Z. My personal touchstone for John Waters is his John Lennon show, “Looking Through a Glass Onion". However, in the swinging London of the 1960’s, John Waters began a love affair with music and has continued to play and perform from that time on. In January, John and his musical partner, Stuart D’Arrietta and their band the Chartbusters, set out on an Australian tour playing John’s favourite hits from his youth under the title of “Radio Luxembourg”. At 5:30, I’ll be chatting with John about his ongoing love affair with music and the Radio Luxembourg show, which will stop off at the Theatre Royal in Castlemaine on Saturday March 15.
