The value of diversity in ICT

View descriptionShare

Women are being discouraged from working in ICT at every level of the career funnel, from education to graduation to promotion. That's having a negative impact on the capabilities of ICT teams, the profitabilities of ICT businesses and the outcomes for our communities.

Infosys Consulting is taking action to improve diversity and inclusion in their workforce. This special podcast episode captures a brown-bag session with two change champions.

Chris Skipper-Conway is CEO of GMT People and Chair of VIC ICT For Women. Having recently spoken at the United Nations Commission in New York, Chris is challenging Infosys and all ICT companies to take action now to support a diverse workforce.

Louiza Nutt is an IT professional and Associate Board Member of VIC ICT For Women. She says we're grooming girls for failure through the language we use at home and a subtle change will reap rewards for the next generation.

Together they outline the background to our current diversity challenges, and lay out the roadmap to deliver real results.
