A tramp on the Queen Charlotte Track in New Zealand became a journey of discovery as Outward Bound came into view in Anakiwa. Serpil Senelmis meets an Outward bound trainer from the 1960s and shares his experiences with today's School Director. And 18 year old Amy does the 21 day Outward Bound course and finds there is more in her than she knows.
Outward Bound changes lives through challenge and discovery. The physical course dates back to 1941 and was set up as a navy initiative in Britain. Now you can find Outward Bound Schools around the world and it's become an iconic part of the educational framework in New Zealand.
