There are many supports for people who live in flooded areas.
This includes payments for lost income and damage to your home and help with
a safe place to stay, food and wellbeing support services.
EMERGENCY HELP
If you are in immediate danger and need urgent help, call 000.
If your home is about to flood, call Victorian emergency services on 132 500.
FLOOD RECOVERY HOTLINE
If you need information about payments you can get, supplies like food, clothing, medication, nappies or somewhere to stay call the Flood Recovery Hotline on 1800 560 760.
Press 9 for an interpreter.
The recovery hotline is open from 7.30am to 7.30pm every day.

You can also go to your nearest emergency relief centre.
EMERGENCY RELIEF CENTRES
There are several Emergency Relief Centres open to help people during the floods.
You can go to an emergency relief centre to get information about the floods, reunite with members of your household and community and get help with immediate needs like temporary accommodation and food relief.
You can also get help with the forms to apply for financial aid at the Emergency Relief Centres.

You can also call the Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre on 1800 015 188.
You will be connected with a telephone interpreter if you need one.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
In stressful and upsetting times it is good to have someone to speak to about your concerns.
There are many supports that can help you and your family with difficult emotions.
To talk to a Recovery Support Worker about what's available, call 1800 560 760.
You can also get help and support from the Victorian government’s free Mental Health and Wellbeing Hubs.
You can get help with any difficulties you are experiencing over the phone, in-person and through telehealth.
You can call the Mental Health & Wellbeing Hub service on 1300 375 330.
If you need more help in your language, call 13 14 50 and ask for an interpreter, then ask to be connected to Mental Health & Wellbeing Hubs.
If you wish to remain anonymous you can ask for support without providing your personal details.
You do not need a referral from a doctor to use this free service.
