Western Cape teachers take to the streets in protest against 2400 proposed job cuts recently announced by the provincial government

Western Cape teachers will  later this afternoon be protesting against the proposed 2400 job cuts recently announced by the provincial government. The Western Cape Government has cited budget cuts from national government as a reason for the decision. The Western Cape Government has allegedly also called on teacher unions to fight alongside it, in order to protect the teachers.
