Taxi boss and businessman Joe "Ferrari" Sibanyoni is testifying before the Madlanga Commission. Sibanyoni says Gubis 85 provided VIP protection services to his taxi association and related entities from March 2024, at a monthly fee of 145-thousand rand, VAT inclusive. He says the arrangement was commercially reasonable and necessary due to credible threats to his safety. He also revealed that he received a bakkie as a voluntary birthday gift from Gubis 85, describing it as pure goodwill with no strings attached.
