Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean Macpherson has directed the Construction Industry Development Board to investigate allegations that Morial Infrastructure Group obtained multiple construction gradings on the same day. The allegations suggest the company may not have met the requirements for those gradings, which were allegedly used to secure government contracts. The investigation follows scrutiny of the company's alleged links to businessman Lawrence Chamurwa Mudzingayima, who was filmed threatening women at a Sandton restaurant.
