The National Consumer Commission has recalled certain Nissan Qashqai, Toyota Land Cruiser 300, and Lexus LX600 vehicles over safety concerns, urging owners to visit their nearest authorised Nissan or Toyota dealership for the necessary repairs. The Consumer Commission says Consumers who own the affected vehicles are urged to visit their nearest authorised Nissan or Toyota dealership for an inspection and the necessary repairs, which will be carried out at no cost. The Madlanga Commission has heard that IDAC Head Advocate Andrea Johnson never saw the alleged classified Crime Intelligence documents reportedly delivered to Mr. Adams' office. Johnson told the commission she relied only on Adams' sworn statement describing the documents, which he said were pushed under his office door. She also admitted she did not refer the matter to another authority for investigation, despite commissioners questioning whether the alleged possession of intelligence documents should have been reported.

The Electoral Commission has extended the deadline for public comments on its proposed Code to Counter Disinformation to 29 July 2026. The Commission says the extension is intended to encourage broader public participation because of the code's significant impact on the electoral process. The draft code proposes tougher measures to curb election misinformation ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections. Political parties and candidates who deliberately spread false information, publish misleading election content, or use AI-generated deepfakes during election campaigns could face penalties under the proposed new rules. IEC Chief Electoral Officer is Sy Mamabolo.
