The head of the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption, Advocate Andrea Johnson, has been rushed to hospital. She was due to testify before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on Monday. Johnson is facing a range of allegations including claims of interfering in investigations related to a complaint against suspended Crime Intelligence head Feroz Khan. The commission has now adjourned its proceedings to tomorrow when a new witness will testify. Police say work is underway to obtain a full extradition request to have triple murder accused Ndodana Tshuma extradited to the United Kingdom. Tshuma's matter relating to the possession of an unlicensed firearm as well as his extradition case have been postponed to July 22 in the Johannesburg Magistrates court.The 45 year old Zimbabwean national is accused of killing his 42-year-old wife, Nothabo Tshuma and their daughters, 15-year-old Natalie and five-year-old Nala, at their home in the UK. He was arrested in Kensington, east of Johannesburg on Friday. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to SABC Repoter Lerato Makola

Former acting National Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Lesetja Mothiba has told the TRC Cases Inquiry he never oversaw, directed or interfered in investigations into apartheid-era TRC cases. Mothiba says the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation operates independently of the SAPS, reports to the Police Minister and Parliament, and has a ring-fenced budget beyond the National Commissioner's control. The Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Cases Inquiry, probing alleged efforts to stall the investigation and prosecution of apartheid-era perpetrators
