KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner highlights the province's crime fighting priorities

KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi says over 30 suspects have been shot in shootouts with the police. Mkhwanazi has provided an update on the state of policing in the province, including arrests, detection performance, shootouts as well as progress on high profile cases. Mkhwanazi says the deployment of additional police officers to the province to monitor crime hotspots in the run-up to and during the national and provincial elections in May assisted crime prevention efforts.
