Major US airlines have grounded flights across the country, citing communication issues, in what appears to be related to a global IT outage, which affected banks, emergency services and airports around the world on Friday morning. American Airlines has blamed what it calls technical issue on Crowdstrike, an antivirus software. Here in South Africa, there were delays in updating the Johannesburg Stock Exchange's data, with Capitec bank also severely affected, as customers could not transact or communicate with the bank.
