Kenyan President William Ruto has withdrawn the contentious finance bill that sparked nationwide deadly protests. Ruto says he has listened to the people and expressed his condolences to the families who lost loved ones during the demonstrations. Scores of protesters stormed some sections of the country's parliament yesterday. This after lawmakers had voted in favour of tax hikes seeking to raise an additional 2,7 billion dollars.
